Introduction
At One Tribe we are delighted to have been recognised as one of the Best for the World™ B Corps of 2022!
To be eligible for this recognition, One Tribe and our fellow B-Corps needed to have scored in the top 5% for one or more of the five B-Impact Assessment areas in the certification process. . One Tribe is extremely proud to have been recognised for our efforts and to have scored so highly for Governance.
Governance is one of our most important pillars for trust and transparency and for One Tribe to receive a ‘Best for the World™’ award is an important acknowledgement of the difference we are making within the company and to the community and the environment we work in.

What is Best for the World™?
B Lab’s Best For The World™ (BFTW™) program credits certified B Corporations (B-Corps) that have achieved the highest verified scores across the five impact areas evaluated on the initial B Impact Assessment (BIA).
For those that may not know, gaining B-Corp certification is not an easy feat. In order to gain B-Corp certification, businesses must score across five major B-Impact areas listed below:
- Community
- Customers
- Environment
- Governance
- Workers
Businesses that obtain a score of 80 points or more will be awarded B-Corp certification, and are expected to maintain these standards.
This is where Best For The World™ (BFTW)has an important part to play. BFTW is just one of the ways B Lab is able to keep track of, and recognise, companies that are doing good for the planet and its people. This recognition system provides an opportunity for the B-Corp community to exchange practices, progress their impact journeys, and work together towards the fulfilment of the B Lab vision.
How Does The Best For The World™ Recognition System Work?
BFTW identifies B-Corps with B-Impact Assessment (BIA) scores in the top 5% in any one of the five impact areas assessed by the BIA on April 30th 2022. The B Corporations that have achieved these verified scores will then be featured on the Best For The World 2022 official recognition list!
How Did One Tribe Get Recognised?
Out of thousands of Certified B Corporations worldwide, One Tribe is among the top 5% of B-Corps recognised for our work in the Governance impact area.
The Governance award recognises One Tribe’s achievements for our mission, ethics, accountability and transparency. Our best practices focus on how we engage employees, board members, and the community to achieve that all-important ‘bigger picture’. By embedding our vision and values into our company ethos, One Tribe has been recognised as a company that uses our business as a force for good!
Our continuous commitment towards our Governance paved the way for this achievement. We owe our success to how we structured our company as a remote-first business, meaning we have very low impact on the environment. Alongside this, we maintain and value a totally transparent and open framework where team members and clients can discuss in detail our accounting and reporting procedures. The nature of our business is not to hide and divide, but to develop a trustworthy and transparent reporting framework for companies to take calculated climate action and fund projects globally.
We are super excited to be recognised as one of the Best For The World™ B-Corps and we want to congratulate all fellow B-Corps who have achieved the Best For The World™ along with us.
What Can You Expect From The List of Recognised B-Crops
The B Lab team will be working collaboratively with the B-Corps recognised as BFTW to raise awareness of the B-Corp movement.
Expect to see plenty of webinars, panel discussions, and case studies across the month of July, showcasing some of the best practices that helped the top 100 B-Corps achieve their high scores.
As for us here at One Tribe, we will be working with our partners including Santander Astound, Clearco, Zalando, and Gravity Forms (just to name a few) as well as the hundreds of brands we support on their journey to net zero and carbon neutrality. Over the coming months to continue growing our brand and working towards our Sustainable Development Goals.
Overall we are delighted to be working alongside some awesome B-Crops including Patagonia, All Birds, and so many other great brands that share the same values we do.
Summary
Every year, Best For The World™ recognises the top-performing B Corps creating the greatest positive impact through their businesses. More than a badge of honour, One Tribe is delighted to have been recognised for our work across the Governance impact area, and we will continue to work towards bettering our business alongside B Lab and the B-Corp Community.
